In Larissa, Greece the Municipal Youth Council and the local group of Generation Europe – The Academy have organzed a “Youth Walk” to explore the graffiti of the city. Since 2018, the group is active in their „Make Use“ project. Among other things, they have produced a map of Larissa. In the print version of the map there is a text referring to the “walls that speak”. It suggests to wander as a “flaneur” and walk the proposed route “Mural paintings of the City”.
With the help of the map, the youth walk stopped at places in the city, observing what is depicted on its walls and discussed about it. The action was documented by a member of the “Make Use” team, and the footage will be included in a documentary that the team is preparing.
