What an exciting start to this year’s Generation Europe – The Academy international youth encounters: active young people from Thuringia (Germany), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain) and Krzyżowa (Poland) met for twelve days in Puerto de la Cruz on the north coast of Tenerife. The international group worked together on concepts of democracy, the problems of mass tourism, climate change and civil courage.

One youth encounter, three destinations: As one of the last international meetings of this year, young people from Germany, Italy and Greece recently came together in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. During ten days, they also travelled to Strasbourg, France. It was an exciting journey through “communities, Europe, and everything in between”, as the title of the encounter already stated.
Networking and communication were the main topics of the youth encounter in Nordhausen, Germany. Not only did Thuringian Youth Minister Helmut Holter and MDR television visit the young people from Poland, Spain and Germany. The active participants also became media producers themselves: In cooperation with Radio ENNO, they reported on their experiences for nine days. You can listen to all the reports here.
What an exciting twelve days! Under the title “Raise your Voice!”, active members of the local groups from Unna (Germany) met with their project partners from Italy and Finland. About local projects, dealing with global crises – and the visit of a TV crew.
This was the motto under which the local groups from Bochum (Germany), Rome (Italy) and Évora (Portugal) met in Portugal for their youth encounter this year as part of Generation Europe – The Academy. Together, the young people want to find ways to tackle the problems in the world and make a difference – at home in their local communities, but also beyond.
From 7 to 18 August 2023, active young people from Thuringia, Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain) and Krzyżowa (Poland) are meeting in Nordhausen (Germany). Together they are working to bring international youth cooperation to life. Helmut Holter, Thuringia’s Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, visited them and welcomed the young international guests.

Greetings from Gdańsk: The active young people of our Partnership 12 met in the Polish harbour city. The focus of the international meeting is on ecology and environmental protection.
