For Earth Day, the local group of Generation Europe – The Academy in Florence, Italy participated in an EcoFestival in the village of San Donato, on the outskirts of Florence.
It was day full of meetings, debates and activities to increase the sense of environmental responsibility and raise the awareness of the new generations – and not only – on issues that are as urgent as ever. For the occasion, the local group conducted a workshop on building musical instruments from recycled materials, an activity that involved many children and their families:

Artistic Group Experiences
Previously, the local group of Generation Europe – The Academy had already experienced an intense afternoon in which artistic coaches worked with the young artists and activists to try out some of the methods presented last December in Florence during the first international workshop of ENGAGE, a project that aims to introduce participatory tools to help young people become agents of change.

ENGAGE is the acronym for “Empowering New Generations through Artistic Group Experiences”, a project coordinated by Les Têtes de l’Art (France), in partnership with CCC (Italy), Theater Tempus fugit (Germany), Fundacion ACM (Spain), Association ASTICUDE (Morocco) and co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme. Many thanks to Rebecca Lena for the photos from the ENGAGE workshop!
