We incorporate youth policy locally and ensure that the findings from practical work are taken into account in political decisions at all levels. In debates and discussions, young people and the professionals involved become actors in youth policy. This youth policy process has positive effects for all involved:
The stakeholders – i.e. the political decision-makers and representatives of other institutions involved – gain better insight into the needs of the organisations on the ground. Such feedback is crucial for informed decisions and the further development of youth policy strategies.
The youth organisations involved can formulate needs and actively improve the framework conditions for their own work.
The active young people in the individual projects benefit directly from the contact: they gain an insight into the course of political processes, develop possibilities for intervention and experience not only being the object but also the subject of youth policy.
